Morzine, the main resort in the Portes du Soleil area is home to an extensive range of slopes, shared with its smaller neighbour Les Gets.
Morzine’s main ski area is easily accessible via the gondola to Le Pleney, where there’s an impressive selection of blue and red runs to suit skiers or snowboarders of all abilities.  The area is also well known for its scenic views and tree lined runs, which makes for interesting skiing. The Super Morzine gondola allows for access to, and from Avoriaz and the wider Porte Du Soleil region.

The resort

Morzine is well known for being large and lively which makes it very popular with British visitors. The traditional town which is situated on both sides of a river offers plenty of après-ski options due to the amount of restaurants and bars which line the streets running up to the Le Pleney ski lift. Accommodation in the area is distributed across the town but is well linked via a multi route bus route which connects all parts of area to the main ski lifts as well as Les Gets. The short transfer time to Geneva (1hr) makes the area perfect for those looking for a convenient short ski break.
